Skateboarder .svg File

This is a repost from my old blog as well. Download the skateboarder .svg file.   Since it is a silhouette shape I didn't feel the need to post it as anything but an .svg file since it will easily import into MTC, SCAL or any other cutter software that works with .svg files.  Thanks for stopping by!

Rollerblader .svg File

Here is a rollerblader from my old blog as well.  He too is just provided in the .svg file format.  Download the rollerblader .svg file.

Cupcakes .svg file

This was one of my most popular posts on my old blog!  This set of files was downloaded literally thousands of times! I think one of the reasons is because Carol, at Extreme Cards and Papercrafting, used the files to help her create a cupcake pop-up card back in October, 2010.  You can see Carol's Cupcake Pop-up Card on her blog.  If you have never checked out Carol's blog, you should!  She does awesome work!

My file contains a set of cupcakes. They are shared here as an .svg file. There are several layers to each cupcake. The base shape. The icing which has 2 layers to each cupcake. The second cupcake has a cherry and finally, both have the wrapper layer. Download the cupcakes .svg file. If I get a chance, I will try to open these up in MTC and save them as MTC files and share them here soon as well!

Thanks for stopping by!

Decisions, Decisions!

Hello, well after a quick review of some of my old files from my original blog I think I have decided what I want to do.  I think I will leave the old blog up so that "everything" can still be found from there (at least for now!)  There are a number of Design Studio (DS) cut files that I have on that blog that I no longer consider to be of great relevance so I don't want to "import" them here but I don't want to simply take them away forever either!  (Someone still might find them useful if they are only using Cricut stuff!  DS and Gypsy users could still use them).  If it is a project that I particularly like, I will recreate it using other software and basic shapes and share that file here on the new blog as a Make the Cut (MTC)  and/or SVG file.  The MTC, SCAL and/or SVG files that I had previously shared on the older blog WILL be imported here and reshared.  I still have both MTC and SCAL but tend to use MTC to create my files.  If I share them as MTC and SVG files, then people with SCAL and other software will still be able to use them as well.  I do not plan to share files other than in these two formats for now.  Creating files, uploading them for sharing and then creating blog posts with pictures takes a lot of time.  Trying to convert them and share in multiple formats takes even more.  As a mother of two active teenagers, I don't have a lot of spare time to try to meet everyone's needs with all the different cutters and software packages out there.  Hopefully, you understand and have the ability to import an SVG file.

Happy New Year!

Wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year!  Welcome to 2012 and my new blog.

I have an older blog: meflickcricutandmore.blogspot.com that I had previously put information and cutting files out on.  I had not kept it up regularly for a variety of reasons.  One being that it had the "cricut" name in it and since I also use other software with my electronic die cutters, I didn't want to get in trouble using their product name.  This was especially key since I mainly now only use 3rd party products with ALL of my cutters! Unfortunately, you cannot simply "rename" your blog it would appear so I decided to start a new one without that as part of its name so I felt better about sharing my files and other information!

However, you can "export" your blog information and then "import" it into a new blog which is what I will be doing here for a little while.  Instead of simply "importing" it all at once, I plan to "review" the old information and "import" some of it a little at a time.   Some of it will probably no longer be relevant though so I will leave it out of this new blog.  Once I have it all taken care of, I will decide whether to leave my old blog up or delete it completely.

So, for a while, I will be adding "older" files to this new blog but also hope to add new stuff as well.  If your a new viewer, it will all be new to you.  If you are a previous follower, thanks for hopping over here to my new blog and I will try to provide you new stuff too as I "transition".  Although I don't "demand" comments, they are great to have!  I have had some files download thousands of times and seldom get any comments.  Comments and feedback is what makes people want to keep on "giving"!
