Magic Slider Card

This is a "Magic Slider Card" that I made last year. I originally found a written tutorial and directions on making this card and used that to create a  Make the Cut (MTC) cutting file for it. I then used it with my crafting group for us to make cards.  I gave this one to my Mom for Mother's day last year so I am pretty sure I made the cutting file back in May of 2012.

I had meant to put it up on my blog back then but I guess I never got around to it.  I remembered it when someone was looking for a "slider card" last week on the Make the Cut Forum.  This was not the exact type of card they were looking for, they were looking for a slider card that had multiple layers that slide out of the top. However, I still wanted to go ahead and share this file here since I hadn't done so previously.  Figured it had been sitting on my computer long enough!

For complete directions on assembling this card, you can see Beate John's written tutorial that I used to create the card  which can be found here at the splitcoaststamper's website: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/magic_card/

There is also a Youtube video for those who are visual learners!  You can find it through the above link to her written tutorial.

The cutting file is for personal use only. It should NOT be sold. Cards made with it may be given away or sold.

Download the MTC "Magic Slider Card" file.  Be sure to read the notes section in the file. The file contains two base cards.  One has the rectangular window as shown in this card and one has an oval window.  Placement of your image on your pull out cards are extremely important as my crafting group will attest to!  We used recycled acetate for the "window".

Given the complexity of this file, I have not converted it to an SVG file at this time.  If you are interested in an SVG file for it, leave me a comment and if I get enough requests to convert it I may try when I find time.  Thanks for your understanding.  As always, thanks for stopping by!  I would love to see what you make if you use this file!

Exploding Volleyball

It's no secret that I have a DD who lives and breaths Volleyball.  She plays school ball and club ball that entails a lot of travel during club season.  Good thing i enjoy watching it!  As a result, I am always looking for volleyball images to make into cut files that I can create shirts or other items with.  I had found this file a while back.  Used it to make a shirt or two.  Thought I would share it here for those other volleyball fans.  Will have to see if I can find the shirt I did with it!

Download the Exploding Volleyball .mtc file here.  Download the Exploding Volleyball .svg file here.

For personal use only please. If you have any issues, be sure to do a right click and save or save as to get these files downloaded from my Public Dropbox account. As always, thanks for stopping by.  Let me see what you might create with any of my files.

Golden Retriever Image

As I noted, we got a new dog back the day after Thanksgiving last year.  We hadn't had a dog in years. We hadn't had a dog since my kids were very little and the dog I had from before the children passed away.  So for lots of reasons, we had been "dog less" for many years now.  They finally convinced me to get a dog.  I decided if I was getting a dog it would be a Golden Retriever.  Her name is Cali.  She is now about 6 months old. She is a great dog. Everyone who meets her immediately falls in love with her.  So I went in search of Golden Retriever images a while back and found this one and turned it into a cut file.  Since it is not my original image, please use for personal use only.  Would look great cut out of vinyl for various gifts. Thanks for stopping by.

Download the Golden Retriever Head MTC file here.

Download the Golden Retriever Head SVG file here.

Note: These are uploaded to my dropbox account so should be easy to download.  I tested the links and they should be working.  Let me know if they aren't. You should be able to save by doing a right click and then a "save" or "save as".

Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil, See No Evil Monkeys

Wow, been months since I posted anything here on the blog.  I have been doing some crafting, but not lots.  We got a new puppy right after Thanksgiving, then it was Christmas with all the family in (well all of my husband's family!) Then first one thing and then another I guess.  I know I have files that I need to share and projects to show but I just haven't taken time to do the photos and the write-ups and get it all posted here.  I need to see what I have that I can share.  These cute little monkey's were free clipart I found.  I turned them into a cutting file with my MTC software.  I then used heat transfer vinyl (HTV) to turn them into a sweatshirt.  I thought they were too cute not to share.  For personal use only please since the image was not originally created by me. (Right click and do a "save" or "save as" or "save target as").  The files are in my public dropbox account so no password or special work needed to download.  I tested the links and they should work properly.  Let me know if you have a problem.  Thanks for stopping by!

Download the See No Evil Monkey MTC file here or Download the See No Evil Monkey SVG file.
NOTE: the MTC file was saved in the latest version of MTC 4.5 which was just released today.  If you cannot open the MTC File with your version of MTC, please download the SVG version and import it into your MTC.  The SVG file can also be used with any other program that will import SVG files correctly.)
